Instructions and recommendations
Tattoo Removal
- Dr. Silvia Cabrera recommends to gather as much information about the tattoo as possible, for this, it would be useful to contact the tattoo artist to help you remember what type of ink was used, as well as the depth of the needle that was used and more that can be of help.
- Tattoo must be at least 3 months old.
- Yellow and violet colors are not removable.
- If the tattoo is placed on the forearm, it is possible that it can cause blistering, this is quite normal, and it can be treated with local antibiotics and by draining the blister.
- Treatment does not leave any scarring tissue or scab.
- An anesthetic cream will be applied to the treatment area to prevent pain.
- If the tattoo is large, it will be dealt with by zones.
- The number of sessions for tattoo removal will vary depending on the type of tattoo. It usually ranges an average of 5 to 10 sessions.
- Sessions will be performed every 6 and 8 weeks.
- Dr. Silvia Cabrera recommends not to use any anti-pigment products or those that contain acid, 5 days prior and 5 days after the treatment.
- Avoid sun exposure 2 weeks prior and 2 weeks after the treatment.
- Use sunblock every 3 to 4 hours.
Hollywood Peel and Acne Peel
- Sessions are performed every 4 weeks.
- Dr. Silvia Cabrera recommends 5 sessions, however, one session can help patients obtain the luminous skin effect.
- Dr. Silvia Cabrera also stresses not to use any anti-pigment products or those that contain acid, 5 days prior and 5 days after the treatment.
- Avoid sun exposure 2 weeks prior and 2 weeks after the treatment.
- Use sunblock every 3 to 4 hours.
Soft Peel and Melasma treatment
- Sessions are programmed every 4 weeks.
- Dr. Silvia Cabrera recommends 5 to 10 sessions.
- Patients must consume an antioxidant during treatment (Vitamin C or Pycnogenol)
- Not to use any anti-pigment products or those that contain acid, 5 days prior and 5 days after the treatment.
- Avoid sun exposure 2 weeks prior and 2 weeks after the treatment.
- Use sunblock every 3 to 4 hours.
Gold Toning
- Sessions are programmed every 2 weeks.
- Dr. Silvia Cabrera recommends 5 sessions.
- Patients must consume an antioxidant during treatment (Vitamin C or Pycnogenol)
- Dr. Silvia Cabrera also advises not to use any anti-pigment products or those that contain acid, 5 days prior and 5 days after the treatment.
- Avoid sun exposure 2 weeks prior and 2 weeks after the treatment.
- Use sunblock every 3 to 4 hours.
Onychomycosis (fungus removal)
- Patients must come to the session with completely clean socks and shoes.
- They must wash all their footwear, socks, showers, etcetera.
- 6 to 9 sessions are recommended every 4 weeks until the expected results are obtained.
- Use the treatment at home.
- Avoid the use of nail polish, acrylic nails, gel, etcetera.
- Abstain from having any manicure or pedicure done with untrained personnel.
Hyperpigmentation: armpits, elbows, groin, and knees
- Sessions every 4 weeks
- 5 to 10 sessions are recommended
- Patients must consume an antioxidant during treatment (Vitamin C or Pycnogenol)
- Dr. Silvia Cabrera also advises not to use any anti-pigment products or those that contain acid, 5 days prior and 5 days after the treatment.

Solar Lentigo
- Sessions every 4 weeks
- 2 to 3 sessions are recommended
- Patients must consume an antioxidant during treatment (Vitamin C or Pycnogenol)
- Dr. Silvia Cabrera also advises not to use any anti-pigment products or those that contain acid, 5 days prior and 5 days after the treatment.
- Apply prepared cream 1-week post-treatment.
- It is possible that patients can experience the development of a small scab, however, it mustn’t be removed. When the cream is applied, the process will be accelerated, after that, there will be some light pink skin, regular skin tone will return as the days go by.
- Avoid sun exposure 2 weeks prior and 2 weeks after the treatment.
- Use sunblock every 3 to 4 hours.
Eye Bags
- Sessions every 6 to 8 weeks
- 6 to 10 sessions are recommended
- Patients must consume an antioxidant during treatment (Vitamin C or Pycnogenol)
